ABOUT US
Duke was born in Oregon, where he grew up rodeoing and living ranch life. He loved rodeo so much that he continued with the sport in college as well as amateur and professional rodeo where he specialized in calf roping. From there he went to work for various trainers such as Kurt Pilman and Bryan Conners. It was then in 2010 that he moved to Texas to continue and grow his cow horse business. It was only a year later when he started helping a trainer who was working out of the same barn when he had extra time. Duke worked for Brad Jewett for 5 years before starting his own all around business in 2015.
Alyssa was born on the other side of the country, in Connecticut. She loved all animals at a very early age and started taking riding lessons at the age of 7. From then she competed in local shows and eventually moved up to the AQHA circuit where she knew this was what she wanted to do. Alyssa spent years working for well established trainers such as Jason English, Tommy Sheets, and Bruce Vickery. In 2017 she met Duke, and after a year of long distance dating moved to San Marcos joining DWPH.
